Local banks ready to provide more than 14 million somonis in loans to residents of Shuroobod and Mouminobod

KULOB, March 29, Asia-Plus – Credit-financial organizations of Kulob are ready to have provided 14.276 million somonis in loans to residents of the Shuroobod and Mouminobod districts this year, Shamsuddin Saydaliyev, the head of the Kulob branch of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), said.  

According to him, he and the head of the AgroInvestBonk branch for Kulob, Sayfiddin Qadamov, on March 26-28 visited the districts to check preparedness of local banks for increasing amounts of loans.   

Saydaliyev noted that banks in Mouminobod have to date received applications for loans for a total amount of 1.752 million somonis.  

He noted that inspection had shown that many people in the region do not know how to work with money and are not well aware of what to do with loans.  .

“In 2006, AmonatBonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank) and AgroInvestBonk provided 1.1679 million somonis in loans to residents of Shuroobod and 1.077 million somonis in loans to residents of Mouminobod,” said Saydaliyev, “While over the first two months of 2997 alone, they have provided to Shuroobod and Mouminobod 244,000 somonis and 172,000 somonis respectively.”
