DUSHANBE, April 23, Asia-Plus – A bill on investment was considered at an April 23 meeting of the board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) presided by the deputy speaker Abdulmjid Dostiyev.  

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered amendments to the laws on cinema, iodized salt, protection of atmosphere, medications and pharmaceutical activity.  

The Majlisi Namoyandagon board set up a working group for drafting amendments to the country’s law on veterans and considered proposals of a working group for the law on public associations.   

The board members also discussed the draft national development strategy for the period until 2015 and the draft poverty reduction strategy for 2007-2009, the spokesman said.
