DUSHANBE, April 23, Asia-Plus – On Friday April 20, Tajikistan, represented by Abdujabbor Rahmonov, Minister of Education, and Iran, represented Ahmad Ajalliyan, Charge D’Affaires, Iranian Embassy in Dushanbe, signed an agreement on allotting a quota of 100 students to Tajikistan for the coming academic year.  

Under this agreement, 100 Tajik students will study at Iranian higher educational institutions focusing on natural sciences, healthcare, and energy. 

Noilsho Nouraliyev, a spokesman for the ministry of education (MoE), said that during the meeting, the two had also considered issues related to providing Tajik schools with textbooks on the Arabic, English, French and German languages.  

Rahmonov and Ajalliyan also discussed the construction of international school in Dushanbe, the spokesman said.  An agreement on the construction of this educational facility was reached during Iranian Education Minister Mahmoud Farshidi’s visit to Dushanbe in January.
