DUSHANBE, April 26, Asia-Plus — Days of Russian movie will be held in Tajikistan from May 7-12, Asia-Plus has learned from Galina Elbaum, secretary of Tajik Cinematographers’ Union.

The event is held in accordance with a culture cooperation agreement that was signed by heads of state of member nations of the Commonwealth of Independent State (CIS) in Russia’s city of Kazan in 2006.  

Elbaum said that a high-ranking delegation, including known Russian filmmakers and actors such as Andrey Eshpai, Alisa Grebenshchikova, Yevgenia Smirnova and Raisa Ryazanova, led by Konstantin Shcherbakov, the deputy head of the Confederation Cinematographers’ Unions of the CIS and Baltia, will arrive in Tajikistan to represent seven Russian movies.  

According to her, from May 7 to May 8, the movies will be demonstrated at Dom Kino in Dushanbe and from May 9 to May 10, they will be shown in the northern cities of Khujand and Chkalovsk.
