DUSHANBE, May 8, Asia-Plus – On May 8, President Emomali Rahmon met in Tehran with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, presidential press service said.

In the course of the talks the two exchanged views on state and prospects of further expansion of economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran. 

During the meeting, President Rahmon offered the consideration of strategic regional socioeconomic projects.  

On the current situation in the Middle East, they spoke for fair and political settlement of Iraqi and Palestinian conflicts and other problems in the region.  

During his stay, the Tajik president is also scheduled to meet Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel and Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.

Emomali Rahmon is also to pay tribute to the Father of the Islamic Revolution, the late Imam Khomeini and visit Iran Khodro auto manufacturing company.
