DUSHANBE, May 28, Asia-Plus – The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considering a bill requiring an order on observing national traditions and rituals at a May 28 meeting.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered bills on amendments to the country’s law on public service, energy as well as the administrative code.

The board also discussed a government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan on mutual allotment of land parcels.

Some of these issues will be considered at a regular sitting of the third session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the third convocation on may 30, Sultonov said.

We will recall that the president has called to give up costly household feasts. Telling a May 24 public meeting, Emomali Rahmon dismissed spending huge sums on show-off events held in a family that either rejoices or grieves over certain events in its life as an immoral and wretched practice.
