DUSHANBE, May 31, Asia-Plus – On Tuesday May 29, New Tajik Ambassador to the Russian Federation Abdulmajid Dostiyev presented copy of his credentials to Deputy Russian Foreign Minister, Grigory Karasin.   

According to information posted on the Russian MFA website, in the course of the talks Dostiyev and Karasin discussed a broad range of issues related bilateral relations between the two countries, including trade-economic cooperation and labor migration.  The two underlined the importance of further expansion of interaction between Tajikistan and Russia on international arena.  

Abdulmajid Dostiyev had previously been First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament).
