DUSHANBE, June 1, Asia-Plus — A development forum that will be held in Dushanbe tomorrow is expected to bring together representatives from 20 countries, including the United States, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, China, Canada, Iran, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as well as representatives from 26 donor organizations such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Monetary Fund, the Aga Khan Foundation, the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and others.  

According to the World Bank (WB) Dushanbe Office, Tajik Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov and the WB Country Director for five countries of Central Asia Annette Dixon will co-preside over this meeting that is staged by the Tajik government under support of the World Bank.  President Emomali Rahmon is expected to address the meeting.  

The meeting is aiming to discuss issues related to promoting socioeconomic development of Tajikistan and determining role of partners/donors in providing assistance to Tajikistan with achievement of development goals.  

For the last time, the Consultative Group of Donors on Tajikistan, which later was renamed Development Forum, met in May 203.
