DUSHANBE, June 8, Asia-Plus – The Second International Exhibition entitled “InterLegProm 2007” (light industry) has opened in Dushanbe today morning.

According to Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI), large companies from Tajikistan, Russia, Iran and Turkey are participating in the exhibition.

They have put on display their achievements in textiles, carpet production and relevant industries at the fair that runs through June 11.  

The source at a CCI said that Tajikistan has been represented at the fair by such companies as Tekstil (Textiles), Nafisa, Javoni, Textile-City, Souman, Qolinhoi Qairoqqum (Qairoqqum Carpets), Obodkor, Rukhom, and others.    

A number of roundtables on technological modernization of the light-industry enterprises, complex processing of cotton, revival of handicrafts in Tajikistan will held on sidelines of the fair.
