DUSHANBE, July 12, Asia-Plus — A group of Tajik journalists and lecturers at higher educational institutions are leaving for Iran today for a seven-day visit.

The trip has been organized under support of Iran’s Imam Khomeini Relief Committee.

Hamid Azimi, the head of mission of Iran’s charity to Tajikistan, told Asia-Plus that during their stay in Iran, Tajik journalists and lecturers would make tour of Iran’s cities of Tehran, Shiraz and Mashhad.

“During the visit, the will have an opportunity to see the sights these cities,” said Azimi, “In Shiraz, for example, they will be able to visit the tomb of the prominent Tajik-Persian poet, prose writer and thinker Saadi Shirazi; in Khorasan, they will have an opportunity to visit tombs of Firdausi and Omar Khayam.  In Mashhad, they will also visit the tomb of Imam Reza.”  

 In Tehran, Tajik journalists will hold meetings with their Iranian colleagues, in particular from Iran’s national news agency IRNA, Azimi said.  

Tajik delegation members include representatives from Tajik Journalists’ Union, news agencies
