DUSHANBE, July 25, Asia-Plus — Republican industrial exhibition entitled “Ways of Raising Capacities and Energy Resources in Industrial Sector” was held at Tajiktekstilmash (textile machinery construction) enterprise in Dushanbe on July 24. 

More than 300 Tajik enterprises participated in the exhibition, putting on display their achievements in light, food and other industries at the fair.  

Jouma Kholmatov, engineer-in-chief with Tajiktekstilmash, told Asia-Plus that the main goal of the exhibition was to promote development of industrial sector in the country and encourage local producers to improve quality of their products.   

“Light and food industries are developing in the country quite intensively, while this cannot be said about the heavy industry,” said Kholmatov, “Raw materials for enterprises of the heavy industry are mainly imported from other countries, and therefore, the immediate task is to increase development and processing of natural resources in the country itself.”
