DUSHANBE, September 3, Asia-Plus — The results of the competition “The Best Park of Tajikistan” were summed up today morning, according to the Ministry of Culture (MoC).

Abdulmajid Boymurodov, the head of the MoC department for development of culture craftsmanship, who also headed the competition jury, told Asia-Plus that the winner of the competition had not been determined.  “No one of contenders has met requirements of the competition, and therefore, the jury has decided to not give the first place to any of them,” said Boymurodov, “The Isfara and Kulob parks shared the second place and were given 750 somonis each.”

As it had been reported earlier, the competition, timed to coincide with the 16th anniversary to Tajikistan’s Independence, was announced in March this year.

Parks of Isfara, Kulob, Vahdat, Tursunzoda, Qurghon Teppa and Hissor were selected to participate at the third, final round of the competition.

Three best parks of the country were supposed to be awarded 2,000 somonis, 1,500 somonis and 1,000 somonis in prize money respectively.
