DUSHANBE, September 3, Asia-Plus — A photo exhibition formally titled “Tajiks in Russia: Another Glance” opened in the Russian city of Irkutsk on September 2.  

Muhammad Egamzod, a spokesman for the Tajik Embassy in Moscow, said the photo exhibition had been staged by Tajik media holding in Moscow.  

According to him, the exhibition opened on sidelines of the festival “Bridge of Friendship: Tajikistan-Irkutsk” held by the board of the Irkutsk regional public association “Tajik National-Cultural Society “Payvand” under support of the Tajik Embassy in Moscow and the Irkutsk authorities.  

The events are dedicated to three dates: 70th anniversary of Irkutsk; 15th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Russia; and Tajikistan’s Independence Day, which is marked on September 9.
