DUSHANBE, September 11, Asia-Plus – Kazinform – An agreement on creation of a joint investment fund is expected to be signed during Kazakh president’s official visit to Tajikistan, which is scheduled for September 12-13, Kazakhstan’s national agency Kazinform said.

“A business forum with participation of entrepreneurs of the two countries, which will be held in Dushanbe, is supposed to result in signing of the agreement on setting up the joint investment fund with authorized capital stock of 100 million US dollars,” Kazinform cited Kazakh MFA official Yerzhan Ashikbayev Monday.  The fund will finance investment projects in the territory of Tajikistan, according to him.

Besides, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of investment and commerce will be signed in Dushanbe.

During his visit to Tajikistan, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev will hold talks with his Tajik counterpart, President Emomali Rahmon, and after that an enlarged meeting with participation of delegations of the two countries will be held.  The sides are expected to consider prospects of further expansion of bilateral political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.

The talks will focus on expansion of cooperation in the fields of hydropower, mining, banking and construction sectors.
