DUSHANBE, September 13, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan seeks cooperation with Pakistan in textile and mining industries.

This issue was one major topics of a September 12 meeting of Asanali Karamaliyev, the deputy head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), with Fayz Rasouli, Pakistani Trade Attaché to Afghanistan and Tajikistan, in Dushanbe.  

According to the CCI press service, the CCI deputy head proposed to hold an exhibition of Pakistani goods as well as a business forum with participation of Tajik and Pakistani entrepreneurs in Tajikistan.  

For his part, Pakistani diplomat seconded this proposal and promised assistance in settling this issue, the CCI press service said.  He also pointed to the necessity of further expansion of bilateral economic cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan.

The meeting ended with signing of a cooperation agreement.
