DUSHANBE, September 14, Asia-Plus  — Tajik filmmakers Ozod Malikov and Said Qodiri have receive diplomas of the First Issykkul Film Festival of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member nations that was held at Cholpon-Ata resort town, Kyrgyzstan on September 3-9. 

Four movies, two feature films and two documentaries, represented Tajikistan at this festival.  Documentary “Way to Moscow” by Ozod Malikov and feature film “Mahdi” by Said Qodiri have received the festival diplomas. 

Documentary by Ozod Malikov won in the “news film on daunting problem” category and film by Said Qodiri won in the “best screenplay” category.        

All SCO member nations: China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as Armenia, Iran, Latvia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan took part in the Festival.  About 200 organizers and guests of the Festival participated in the work of the Festival.  The main purpose of the Issykkul Film Festival was to promote expansion cooperation of SCO member nations in the field of film industry.
