DUSHANBE, September 19, Asia-Plus — Presentation of the book “Bayozi Mehr” (Anthology of Tajik-Persian Poetry of the 20th Century), 14th volume of the collection of works by Sadriddin Ayni, and collection of verses by Farzona, which were published under financial support of the Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF), will be held in Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province, on September 20.
Rukhshona Olimova, media program coordinator and PR-specialist, Tajik Branch of OSI/AF, the event will be held at the Information-Educational Center of the Tajik Branch of OSI/AF in Khujand.
“The main objective of this event is to acquaint the public with new publications that are of significant importance for literary life of the country,” Olimova said, noting that known Sughd researchers, writers and poets have been invited to attend the event.
Over the past five years, more than 25 items of educational literature and textbooks have been published under the Information Program of the Tajik Branch of OSI/AF. Over the last two years, the main direction of the program is to preserve cultural heritage of Tajiks.
