DUSHANBE, September 19, Asia-Plus — Police in Dushanbe burned more than 735 kilograms of drugs on September 19.  The totaled included 155 kilograms of heroin. 

Fayzullo Gadoyev, head of the Interior Ministry’s directorate fro combating drug trafficking (drug police), told Asia-Plus that the drugs were confiscated in the course of 2006-2007.  The drugs were material evidences on 150 drug-trafficking criminal cases.  

The drug police chief said that this was the third such dug burning this year, adding that police have destroyed 1,846 kilograms of drugs since the beginning of the year.
