DUSHANBE, September 28, Asia-Plus — Deputy Foreign Minister, Erkin Qosimov, today received Mr. Mathieu Le Blan, Head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Office in Tajikistan.

After a meeting with the deputy minister, Mr. Le Blan told journalists that they had discussed the possibility of introducing a simplified procedure of visa system for bankers, including citizens of the Great Britain.

“I realize that Tajikistan now does not have enough technological facilities for this,” said the EBRD Office head, “At the same time, Tajik students, who are currently studying in the Great Britain, also have to go to Almaty to get UK visa.  But this is connected with the fact that the Great Britain has centralized system in Almaty.”

According to him, it is inconvenient for students and this issue should be gradually resolved.

For his part, Erkin Qosimov assured Mathieu LE Blan that this issue will be studied.

Davlat Nazriyev, the head of the MFA information department, also expressed hope that the issue would be studied in details and both sides will adopt equally favorable regime.
