Tajikistan to participate at jubilee session of council of CIS telecommunications operators in Minsk

DUSHANBE, October 3, Asia-Plus  — Deputy Transport and Communications Minister, Beg Zuhurov, and the Tajik Telecom (Tajikistan’s national fixed-line telecommunications network) Director General, Rahmonali Hasanov, will attend a jubilee session of the council of the CIS Telecommunications Operators that will be held in Minsk, Belarus from October 9 to October 10. 

Jaffar Rustamov, an official with Tajik Telecom, representatives from 12 largest telecommunications companies of the CIS states will gather in Minsk to discuss key issues of cooperation and further development of the telecommunications networks within the CIS area.  

Elaborating common concepts of providing telecommunications service, development of new technologies and universal assessment of quality of services, the council creates favorable conditions for further penetration of information and communications technologies into society, the Tajik Telecom official said.
