DUSHANBE, October 31, Asia-Plus  — The 15th international conference on Central Asia and the Caucasus formally entitled “Expansion of NATO in Central Asia and the Caucasus, its Dimensions and Consequences” was held in Tehran on October 29-30.   

Iran’s news agency IRNA said that during the two-day conference, experts from Iran, Georgia, the UK, Armenia, Switzerland, Afghanistan, Poland, Italy, Tajikistan, Turkey, India, Russia, Romania, Belgium, China, Canada, Pakistan, the US and Uzbekistan had delivered speeches on NATO”s expansion to Eurasia.

Sayfullo Safarov, the deputy head of the Tajik Center for Strategic Studies, and Dr. Abdunabi Sattorzoda, the head of the department for international relations of center for Strategic Studies, represented Tajikistan at the conference.
