            DUSHANBE, November 8, Asia-Plus  — The problems of shortage of teachers still remains unsolved in Tajikistan. 

Education Minister Abdujabbor Rahmonov said in an interview with Asia-Plus that general schools in Tajikistan are experiencing an acute shortage of teachers of the English and Russian languages, mathematics and information technology.  

Rahmonov noted that the problem of shortage of teachers has also resulted from unwillingness of young teachers to work with schools.  “Tackling this problem also depends, to a certain extent, on local authorities, which should provide adequate living conditions for young teachers,” the minister said.
