DUSHANBE, November 22, Asia-Plus  — A ceremony to present an official website of Tajikistan’s Public Service Directorate (PSD) –

www.rhd.tj

— was held in Dushanbe on Thursday.

 Asror Latipov, the deputy head of the Public Service Directorate, said in interview iv with Asia-Plus that when creating the website, they had pursued two key objects: providing interested persons with access to the main information; and forming communications channels allowing visitors to ask questions and get consultations from the PSD specialists.    

“All necessary information about the structure of the state and public service, the results of work of international organizations active in Tajikistan, a s well as the results of work carried out by the public service and other government bodies will be posted on the site,” said the deputy head, “We will also post materials about stipulated reforms and announcements about the upcoming events, etc.”  

Materials posted on the website will be in three languages: Tajik, English; and Russian, Latipov said.

According to him, the launch of this site is the first step towards formation of electronic government in Tajikistan, which will provide full openness of activity of government bodies.  

The website has been created under support of the European Union’s public service reform support project.
