Anticorruption coalition building issues discussed in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, December 11, Asia-Plus  — A two-day conference formally titled “Creation of Social Coalition fro Anticorruption Reforms in Tajikistan” opened at the Kokhi Vahdat State Complex in Dushanbe  today. 

The conference, staged by the UNDP CO Tajikistan and Tajikistan’s Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption, has brought together representatives from the Tajik anticorruption agency, the UNDP Dushanbe office, Tajik chief-prosecutor’s office, president’s office, ministries of labor, justice and economy, as well as center for strategic studies, UNODC and independent experts.

The conference is discussing the themes such as considering anticorruption movement in Tajikistan and in the world, security and anticorruption, etc.  Tajikistan’s anticorruption strategy will be presented during the conference, which is expected to end with adoption of recommendations on the discussed issues.
