DUSHANBE, December 19, Asia-Plus  — The 13th session of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) of the third convocation, presided over by its head, Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, was held in Dushanbe on December 19.

Qohir Rasoulzoda, chairman of the Sughd province, was elected the first deputy speaker, and Qodir Qosim, chairman of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), was elected deputy speaker. 

 

Besides, Munim Kholiqov, chairman of Sughd’ Istaravshan district, was elected to head the Majlisi Milli Committee for coordination of activity of the Majlisi Milli with the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament), the Government, Public Associations and Media.  Khusrav Abdunazarov, chairman of Sughd’s Panjakent district, and Mayrambek Toychiyev, chairman of GBAO’s Murgab district, were elected members of this committee.
