DUSHANBE, January 17, Asia-Plus  — Three Tajik nationals, Daniyar Adilov, Ibrohim Mirzorahimov and Jabbor Beknazarov, who are suspected of having killed former Deputy Tajik Prosecutor General, Tolib Boboyev, were detained in the Russian Federation at the end of last year at request of Tajik Prosecutor-General’s Office and were extradited to Tajikistan, Asia-Plus has learned from Rajabali Mahmadaliyev, chief of the Interior Ministry directorate for combating organized crime.

We will recall that Tolib Boboyev was killed on January 2, 1999 in the northern city of Chkalovsk.

According to Mahmadaliyev, they also know names of organizers of the crime.  “Work on detention of them is under way,” the police official said, noting that it could not be ruled out that former member of the Sughd legislature and director of the Isfara chemical plant Nizomkhon Jourayev, who is currently wanted by police, was implicated in the murder of the deputy chief prosecutor.

“The preliminary investigation has established that Mirzorahimov and Beknazarov have been involved in other crimes as well,” Mahmadaliyev said.

According to the Tajik Prosecutor-General’s Office, 35 Tajik nationals were extradited from the Russian Federation last year.
