DUSHANBE, February 6, Asia-Plus  — Officers from the Drug Control Agency (DCA) have detained two alleged drug pushers in Dushanbe.

The source at a DCA said that their officers yesterday detained the 33-year-old resident of Dushanbe with some 70 grams of hashish.

“The detainee said that he had purchased the hashish from his acquaintance for further pushing,” said the DCA source, “When searching his acquaintance’s house the drug control officers found some 10 grams of hashish and more than 20 grams of cannabis that had already been prepared for pushing.”  

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug pushers and an investigation is under way.
