DUSHANBE, February 25, Asia-Plus  – On Saturday February 23, Tajik cellular operator Babilon-Mobile, which is the national leader in providing telecommunications services in Tajikistan, greeted its 700,000th client. 

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the Babilon-Mobile PR-manager, Ms. Irina Vorobyova, said that Askarkhon Ibrohimov from Khatlon’s Hamadoni district had become the 700,000th client of the company.

According to her, the company donated a car VAZ-21015 and 700,000 seconds to its 700,000th client. 

We will recall that Babilon-Mobile greeted its 600,000th client in November 2007.

According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC), ten mobile providers now function in Tajikistan: MLT; Babilon-Mobile; Indigo-Tajikistan; Indigo-Somoncom; Tacom (it now operates under the Beeline brand); M-Teco; Telecom Inc (SkyTel); TK-Mobile; M-Teco; and Telecom Technology.  Another one cellular company – Dilfon – has got operating license but it has not yet functioned.
