Publication of Rushon district official newspaper resumes

DUSHANBE, March 11, Asia-Plus –  After being closed fro three months,

, an official newspaper of GBAO’s Rushon district, was brought out on March 10.

editor Lutfisho Qimmatshoyev told the Khorog news agency Pamir Media that the last edition of the newspaper had been printed in Dushanbe. 

            “Suspension in publication of the newspaper resulted from technical problems as printing machine at the regional publishing house became unserviceable in December 2007,” Qimmatshoyev said, adding that earlier, the newspaper had been published in Dushanbe but since November 2007, by district authorities’ resolution

has been published in the regional publishing house in Khorog.  

            Ms. Zebo Khalifayeva, the chairperson of the regional publishing house, said that the printing machine had been repaired and put into operation recently.
