DUSHANBE, March 20, Asia-Plus  — Firefighters found a drug hiding place Wednesday while extinguishing fire in a residential building in Dushanbe, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

The source at a MoI said the firefighting service received information about the fire yesterday afternoon.  The fire broke out in one of apartments on the fourth floor in the residential building at the Klara Tsetkin Street, not far from the building of the Supreme Court building.

“The firefighters discovered a hiding place containing narcotic drug that tested positive to hashish weighing more than 36 kilograms,” the source said, noting that criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way.
