Tajik Diaspora in Russia organizes Navrouz celebrations today

DUSHANBE, March 20, Asia-Plus  — Like the previous years, Tajik nationals living in Moscow and other Russian regions organize celebrations to mark Navrouz. 

Muhammad Egamzod, press secretary, the Tajik Embassy in Moscow, said that a weeklong celebration of Navrouz is starting today in Moscow. 

According to him, the recently established Tajikistanis’ Union in Russia is organizing Navrouz celebrations in one of pavilions at Russia’s Exhibition Center in Moscow today afternoon.  Representatives from the Tajik Diaspora in Moscow as well as representatives from the government bodies of Moscow, diplomatic missions accredited in Russia and the representatives from the Russian intelligentsia have been invited to attend the Navrouz celebrations.     

On March 21-22, festive events dedicated to Navrouz will also be held in other Russian regions, including, Kazan, Tver, and Ufa, the press secretary said.

Tajikistan

have been brought out in Moscow on occasion of Navrouz.  Two survey squads of Tajik national TV, Shabakai Avval (Channel 1), have arrived in Moscow to give coverage of Navrouz celebrations organized by Tajikistanis in Russia.
