DUSHANBE, May 29, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon has held a meeting with the representatives of the country’s medical workers in the Hissor district, some 17 kilometers west of Dushanbe.
According to the Ministry of Health (MoH), more than 2,000 medical workers are attending the meeting that is being held in the Mirzo Rizo jamoat. After the meeting, the head of state is scheduled to inaugurate a new health center in the district.
The source at a MoH said that 13, 267 doctors and 29,437 nurses currently work with medical facilities in the country. Tajikistan now has 3,142 physician and 4,043 nursing vacancies.
