DUSHANBE, April 23, Asia-Plus  — A training on strategic and business planning for heads of public associations working in the fields of media and information and communication technologies  (ICT) will be held in Dushanbe from April 25-28.   

A source at the Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF), which has staged this training, said that it is aiming to promote strengthening of potential and improvement of managerial skills of organizations cooperating with the OSI/AF Tajik Branch.  

The seminar participants will study issues of using instruments of strategic and business planning for development of their organizations.    

The training is divided in two components: strategic planning, which includes fundamentals of strategic management of organization, defining goals and objectives, budgeting and fundraising in public associations; and business planning, which includes issues of financial sustainability of organizations, the source said.

The seminar is part of the Mass Media Program being implemented the OSI/AF Tajik Branch.
