DUSHANBE, April 23, Asia-Plus  — Tajik internet provider, Babilon-T, has been recognized the best among more than 4,000 companies across the world, Asia-Plus has learned at the Babilon-T head office in Dushanbe.

The source at the Babilon-T head office said that such a decision had been made at the 60th general conference of the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE).

According to him, Babilon-T has been member of IAESTE for already several years, and every year, it accepts 10-12 students to undergo practical training in its different sub-divisions.

“Students from other countries that have undergone practical training at Babilon-T have given it the highest rating,” said the source, “Therefore, the company was recognized the best among 4,000 companies last year and given certificate.”

The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience was founded in 1948 at Imperial College, London.  Imperial College Vacation Work Committee headed by Mr. James Newby initiated a meeting with national organizations from 10 European countries in a post war effort to promote better understanding between countries and cultures.

Since 1948, the association has grown to include more than 80 countries world-wide and has exchanged in excess of 300,000 students. This means that yearly IAESTE exchanges around 6000 students playing a key role in the development of technical undergraduates able to make their mark in a global economy.

The aims of the Association are: to provide students in higher education with technical experience relevant to their studies; to offer employers well-qualified and motivated trainees; and to be a source of cultural enrichment for trainees and their host communities.

Its mission is to operate a high quality practical training exchange program between members in order to enhance technical and professional development and to promote international understanding and goodwill amongst students, academic institutions, employers and the wider community
