DUSHANBE, May 3, Asia-Plus  — Within the framework of its Central Asia Corporate Governance Project, International Finance Corporation (IFC) will conduct a seminar entitled “Efficient Board of Directors” on May 5.  

According to Vadim Nigmatov, Communications Associate and Team Assistant, IFC Central Asia Corporate Governance Project in Tajikistan, IFC experts will elucidate issues related to organization and assessment of work of Board of Directors, cooperation of the Board with other bodies of corporation.

            Also issues related to enlisting the services of independent directors and a role of the Board in developing a system of internal control of companies will also be discussed in the seminar, Nigmatov said. 

The seminar participants include representatives of leading banks, private companies, international organizations and government bodies of Tajikistan.
