DUSHANBE, May 24, Asia-Plus  — The Independent School of Journalism “Tajikistan – 21st Century” has hosted a training formally entitled “Children with Disabilities in the Mirror of Media” for Tajik journalists and journalism teachers.  

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the School project coordinator Safo Safarov said that the main objective of the training is to raise the level of journalists’ awareness of problems facing children with limited.  

During three days (the training was launched on May 23 and will last till May 25), the training participants are studying international standards and ethical norms of coverage of problems of children with disabilities.  

The training participants include representatives of media and lecturers from Tajik National University, Russian-Tajik Slavic University (RTSU), and the Institute of Art.  

The event is held within the framework of the project run by the public charitable medical organization Zdorovye (Health) under support of the European Commission Delegation in Tajikistan.
