DUSHANBE, May 24, Asia-Plus – On Wednesday, May 21, the Culture Minister Shorukh Asrori met with Iran”s Ambassador to Tajikistan Ali Asghar Sherdoust to discuss cooperation issues.

In the course of the talks, Asrori called for Iranian specialists to repair Tajikistan ancient and historical sites including Persian poet, Roudaki”s tomb.

The minister said, “Many of Iran and Tajikistan”s historical sites belong to both nations” ancestors and Iranians experience and abilities can save and revive a number of Tajik nation”s historical sites which are on the verge of gradual ruin.

He also appreciated Iran”s cooperation in cultural field, especially in publication of invaluable works and in hosting joint cultural meetings.

The Iranian ambassador also expressed Iran”s readiness for any kind of cooperation in the fields of cultural and scientific works adding, “We follow the issue of holding a prestigious memorial for the 1,150th birth anniversary of the father of Farsi poetry, Roudaki, where numerous rounds of cultural debates would be held between the two nations” elites.”
