KHUJAND, June 13, Asia-Plus — An official ceremony of presentation of website of the Sughd branch of Tajik Writers’ Union was held at the Sughd regional Public Library in Khujand on June 12.
Hayot Niyat, the chief specialist of the Sughd department for social and cultural matters, said that the website (
www.farhang-sugd.halk.tj
) contains materials about history of the Sughd branch of Tajik Writers’ Union, celebrations dedicated to the 1,500th anniversary of founder of Tajik-Persian classical literature Abu Abdullo Roudaki and a Tajik Language, as well as Tajik poets and writers and their works.
Poets and writers as well as representatives of scientific intelligentsia from all cities and districts of the province attended the website-presenting ceremony.
More than seventy literary men are no members of the Sughd branch of Tajik Writers’ Union.
The website has been developed by the Khujand Center for Information Technologies, Kova, on the occasion of the Roudaki jubilee and the Year of Tajik Language Year. “If there is sponsor, we are ready to work out the Persian version of the website as well,” the website designer Zafar Shafiyev said.
