KHOROG, July 2, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Training courses to improve professionalism of teachers of the Russian language and literature have been organized in the Shugnan district, Gorno Badakhshan.  

The courses, involving 30 teachers, are conducted by lecturers from the Dushanbe-based with Russian-Tajik Slavic University (RTSU).

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Ms. Svetlana Pirova, a teacher with RTSU, said that the training participants are studying new methods and unconventional ways of teaching the Russian language with use of amusing educational materials.

The training courses are organized under support of the Russian embassy in Dushanbe, Ms. Pirova said.
