DUSHANBE, August 8, 2008, Asia-Plus — The Vahdat district will organize a number farm produce fairs in Dushanbe on August 10, Bahrullo Zuhurov, an aide to the Vahdat mayor, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, the Vahdat farmers will deliver more than 200 tons of different agricultural goods, including meat, fish, milk and milk products, fruits and vegetables, to Dushanbe on the following Sunday. “Farm produce offered by them will cost at least 30%-40% fewer than agricultural goods realized on the Dushanbe markets,” the aid said.
In the meantime, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, said that the municipal authorities had organized realization of farm produce in 114 shops across the city.
