DUSHANBE, August 11, 2008, Asia-Plus  — A Tajik-Iranian business forum has opened at the Kokhi Vahdat State Complex in Dushanbe on sidelines of ongoing exhibition of Iran’s northern Mazandaran Province in Dushanbe.

 The meeting has brought together representatives of more than 35 companies from the Mazandaran Province and some 500 Tajik entrepreneurs to discuss cooperation issues.  The forum is expected to end with signing of a number of cooperation documents.   

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Deputy Governor General of the Mazandaran Province for Logistics and Human Resources, Ahmad Jamshidi, said that Mazandaran entrepreneurs are interested in establishing and expanding economic and trade ties with Tajikistan and are ready to invest in development of Tajikistan’s economy.

We will recall that the exhibition of goods of Iran’s northern Mazandaran Province opened at the Kokhi Vahdat State Complex in Dushanbe on August 9.

            More than 35 companies are participating in the exhibition, having put on display their achievements in farm produce processing, production of herbs, packing equipment, building materials, as well as office interiors and landscape architecture at the fair, which runs through August 13.

It is the first universal exhibition of the Mazandaran commodity producers in Tajikistan.
