DUSHANBE, October 9, 2008, Asia-Plus  — The board of the Islamic Revival Party (IRPT) has expressed concern that cases of prosecution of the party members have become more frequent.

The IRPT board yesterday held a meeting to hear reports about activities of the party organizations in the provinces, according to Hikmatullo Sayfullozoda, a spokesman for the IRPT.

The IRPT regional organization in the Sughd province was recognized as the most active party organization in the country.

Activities of the IRPT organization in Gorno Badakhshan and the IRPT board’s culture department were found unsatisfactory.

According to Sayfullozoda, the party board members also expressed concern that cases of prosecution of the party members have become more frequent.
