DUSHANBE, October 16, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Tajik agency for standardization, metrology, certification and trade inspection, Tojikstandart, has initiated the competition “Commodity of Year.”

The Tojikstandart director Davlatali Hotamov said that the first stage of the competition would be held in early January 2009. 

According to him, they have already prepared a package of necessary documents of the future competition, which is dedicated to promote improvement quality of domestic goods.  The Tojikstandart head noted that the competition would be held in Tajikistan annually.
