KULOB, November 3, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Russian air carrier, Ural Airlines, has launched air route linking the city of Kulob and Yekaterinburg, the capital of Russia’s Sverdlovsk region.

A source at the Kulob airport said that Ural Airlines would operate once-weekly direct flight between Kulob and Yekaterinburg with TU-154. 

According to him, the flight Kulob-Moscow is also operated by Ural Airlines.  In January-October this year, Ural Airlines has carried more than 33,000 passengers on the Kulob-Moscow route, which is 4,000 passengers more than in the whole year of 2007.
