The Fourth exhibition of agricultural and food products, drinks and new technologies in the sphere of production and the Third specialized exhibition “Tea and coffee – 2008” were held at the Uzexpocenter in Tashkent, according to the Uzbekistan National News Agency.

The Ministry for Agriculture and Water Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Association of Farmers and Association of fat-and-oil and food industry organized the events, the keeping with the report.

The participants have said that the reforms in agrarian sphere now underway in the country serve as an important factor in raising the effectiveness of agriculture, successfully applying modern techniques and technologies, enhancing country’s export potential and extending international cooperation.

Along with the Uzbek enterprises about 50 firms and companies from 17 countries, including Russia, China, Germany, Italy and Turkey participated at the exhibitions that lasted for three days. They are reported to have showcased their products – the farming technologies, equipment used in producing foodstuffs, refrigerating and cooling devices, as well as packaging tools.
