KHUJAND, December 5, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Tajik-Chinese joint venture, limited liability company Tajik-Chinese Mining-Industrial Company, has delivered 80 percent of equipment for construction of the dressing works in the settlement of Altyn-Topkan, which is located in the territory of the Mastchoh district but subordinate to Qairoqqum.    

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Ghaffor Tuichiyev, a chief specialist with the Sughd energy and industries department, construction of the first line of the concentrator was under way.  The dressing works will have a capacity of processing 300,000 tons of ore per year, he said. 

 According to him, 57,100 tons of ore have been mined at Paibouloq so far.    

“They have already built railway to the Altyn-Topkan deposit and are currently assembling metallic structural units and mining infrastructure,” Tuichiyev said, noting that the first line of the enterprise is expected to be introduced into operation in the first quarter of 2009.    

The limited liability company Tajik-Chinese Mining-Industrial Company was registered by China’s Global on October 1, 2007 with the authorized capital stock of 30 million U.S. dollars.
