DUSHANBE, December 5, 2008, Asia-Plus  — On Thursday December 4, Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, speaker of the upper house (Majlisi Milli) of Tajik parliament, who is in China on an official visit that runs from December 1 to 6, visited Shanghai, Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the Majlisi Milli speaker for press and public affairs, reported from China.  

During his stay in Shanghai, Ubaidulloyev visited the Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower and some other facilities and held talks with Lu Yunjin, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai City People’s Assembly. 

Ubaidulloyev and Lu discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and China in different fields and agreed to expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, the aide said.
