DUSHANBE, December 10, 2008, Asia-Plus – International seminar to commemorate founder of Tajik-Persian classical literature Abu Abdullah Roudaki will be held in Tehran and Mashhad from December 21 to 23, according to IRNA.

Announcing this, academic secretary of the event, Nader Karimian-Sardashti said that more than 250 articles have so far been forwarded to the event.  Of them, 60 articles were from 27 foreign countries including Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, India, France, China, Australia and Canada.

Karimian added that 23 titles of books on Roudaki will be published in cooperation with Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Iran”s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO), Roudaki Foundation as well as Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry.  ”In Memory of Kind Friend”, ”Roudaki”s Advice”, ”Roudaki Anthology” and ”Cultural Movement in Samanid Era” are among the books set for release.

The congress will be organized in cooperation with 26 scientific and cultural institutes including ECO Cultural Institute and UNESCO National Commission.
