DUSHANBE, December 24, 2008, Asia-Plus  — On Tuesday December 23, Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi met with Munir Merali, the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) Resident Representative in Tajikistan.

According to the MFA information department head Davlat Nazriyev, the two discussed issues related to cooperation between Tajikistan and AKDN in different fields.  Zarifi and Merali also touched upon the issue of speeding up construction of the Dushanbe Serene Hotel.

The sides also underlined the importance of development of education sector and tourism as well as joint projects for enhancement of appropriate infrastructure in Afghanistan, the MFA spokesman said.
