DUSHANBE, January 7, Asia-Plus  — A board meeting of the Ministry of Education (MoE) is held today to discuss the results of work carried out in 2008 and development prospects this year.

Noilsho Nouraliyev, a spokesman for a MoE, said that the meeting would gather more than 300 representatives of the education sector, including heads of regional and city education departments to discuss the current situation in the sector and development prospects for 2009.

According to him, an exhibition of achievements of educational facilities in 2008 is held on sidelines of the board meeting.

We will recall that the national budget for 2009 earmarked more than 1.1394 billion somoni for the education sector, which is nearly two times more than last year.
